Terms of Use (End User License Agreement)

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and Trail Kos for the Trail Kos mobile application and related services. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to this EULA. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
You also agree to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
1. Licence grant
Subject to this EULA, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Trail Kos on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use.
2. Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the app except as permitted by law
- Rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or distribute the app or Premium content
- Circumvent paywalls, Premium checks, or technical protections
- Use the app to build a competing product
3. Auto-renewing subscriptions (Premium)
Trail Kos may offer Premium as an auto-renewing subscription.
Subscription name: Trail Kos Premium (Monthly and/or Yearly plans as shown in the app at purchase time).
Length: Monthly plans renew every 1 month. Yearly plans renew every 1 year.
Price: The price displayed in the app at the time of purchase applies to your plan (e.g. monthly or yearly price shown on the upgrade screen). Taxes may apply depending on your location.
Billing: Payment is processed by Stripe (and, where applicable, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe). By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges until you cancel.
Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period. Your payment method will be charged for renewal within the renewal window shown by your platform or payment provider.
Cancellation: You may cancel from Profile → Premium → Cancel subscription in the app. Cancellation stops future charges; you keep Premium access until the end of the paid period unless otherwise stated at checkout.
Free trials: If offered, any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
Price changes: We may change subscription prices for future periods. We will provide notice as required by law or platform rules before changes take effect.
4. Guided hike payments
One-time payments for guided hikes are processed through Stripe. Those purchases are subject to the booking summary shown at checkout and our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Ownership
Trail Kos, including software, design, trail content, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors. This EULA does not sell the app to you — it licenses it.
6. App Store / platform terms
If you obtained the app through Apple App Store or Google Play, their terms also apply. In case of conflict regarding platform billing rules, platform terms may prevail for store-mediated purchases.
7. Termination
This licence ends if you violate this EULA or stop using the app. We may terminate or suspend access for violations. Upon termination, you must stop using the app and delete local copies where required.
8. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided as is to the maximum extent permitted by law. See our Terms of Service for warranty disclaimers and liability limits.
9. Changes
We may update this EULA. The current version is at https://trailkos.devolist.com/eula. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
